K Street – Georgetown, DC

For many years around the turn of the century, a headless ghost terrified people walking along K Street on the riverbank and near the K Street bridge.

The newspapers back then were full of stories from witnesses who encountered the spooky specter. He was thought to be a man who was beheaded by vigilantes for some unknown crime he supposedly committed.

This bridge was one of the most used bridges used to cross the Potomac back in the early 1900s.

I would definitely not want to run in to that guy. Yikes.
